This seminar is for aspiring or current Dachshund judges and anyone who breeds Dachshunds.

09:30 Coffee/Tea/Welcome
10:00 Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) – Helen Kerfoot will talk on the Dachshund breed standard.
After this talk, there will be an opportunity for those who meet the required criteria to sit the breed Multiple Choice Exam (MCE). To do this, you must have:
- Minimum of five years proven interest in pedigree dogs
- Attended a requirements of a dog show judge seminar (but not mandatory to take and pass examination)
- Attended a conformation and movement seminar
- Completed a minimum of two full-day stewarding appointments
12:30 Lunch
13:30 Dachshund coats and colours – Helen Kerfoot will talk about the genetics of dachshund coats and colours. This is an essential talk for all Dachshund breeders.
Informal hands-on session – an opportunity to go over examples of the breed with help from experienced dachshund judges.
Finish 15:30
Certificates of attendance will be issued to everyone for the BAD. Those who pass the MCE will also receive a certificate.
